Sadly the service was very slow. I’d give it 3.5 stars if that was possible.BUT – the Ostrich was very very good, and the food was wells seasoned, plated and imaginative in flavours. It actually has one of the best ranges of cuisine in Cape Town.Not fast, but actually we’ll thought out.

Absolutely lovely spread for hotel breakfast. Very well catered for the sweet tooth patron or for kids whose parents have a relaxed spirit and would allow more sugar for breakfast.Sweet spread included pastries, cinnabon rolls, donuts, cake pops, muffins, scones, flapjacks, waffles with the most tempting toppings and and and….oh the popcorn machine and toffee apples definitely made me feel like I stepped in to an actual party for breakfast! The treats tasted as delicious as it looked. All the other usuals expected with a continental breakfast hotel spread were there too, omlettes and varied egg options, grilled meats, cereals, fruits and so much more. Anything reasonably required could be asked for and brought to the table.Understandably, they cannot be certified halaal. However, for those interested, their meats are purchased from a halaal certified supplier and a request can be made for orders to be prepared separately in designated pots/pans used for this purpose.Service was great, waiters and staff were friendly and very attentive and quickly brought what was requested.Cutlery individually packaged as well as any other items that would require guests to communally help themselves putting your mind at ease during the buffet experience, given covid concerns.Lovely experience, will be back with the kiddies for a breakfast treat.

I had the best Alfredo pasta I’ve ever had here. I ordered the tagliatelle and added chicken. It was amazing. My husband ordered the 300g sirlion steak with chips and ordered it medium. His steak was a bit smaller than expected and was more well-done. I would definitely recommend the Alfredo to all pasta-lovers. It was devine.
