“The Grillroom is simply nirvana for carnivores: grain-fed and grass-fed beef, dry or wet aged, is all aged between 22 and 55 days – plus there’s steak tartare, oxtail, brisket, marrow bones, biltong and beef burgers too. Venison, pork and chicken feature prominently along with salmon, prawns and calamari, and there are also vegetarian options on the menu. Trawling the extensive menu could take a while, enjoy it with a glass of the Estate’s award winning wines. If you love meat as we do, though, this is a little bit of heaven with views to match.”

Thank you for a fabulous Sunday Lunch. Wonderful service and the food was super. We sat outside and the view was impeccable. Wine was so divine and i truly enjoyed the walk with my kids and the good weather. My son is PDA so its challenging in restaurants but we enjoyed it and it was value for money as well. Thank you Grill Room.
Would not recommend. Overpriced and little value for money. Food is below average – we asked for the chef’s recommendation on our burger patties, they arrived dry.The sauce tasted like it was store bought and straight out of a bottle.Charging R40 for a cappuccino is outrageous – specialist coffee roasters in Cape Town do not even charge this.
Had a breakfast reservation, and on arrival, our table inside was dirty and dusty. Our waitress was not very friendly. She also did not inform us of any menu items being unavailable when handing out the menus, and when eventually taking our order, it completely threw us off being told that they don’t have what we wanted to order. My eggs benedict was supposed to come on a bed of rocket, and instead it came with normal lettuce, which got all soggy due to the heat from the rest of the dish. The full house breakfast came without mushrooms at first, and we had to remind our waitress that it is included. The only meal that was perfect, was the hot cake breakfast, which was also nicely presented on a plate. I am not sure whether this bad service we experienced was due to us visiting on a bad day, but I cannot see myself returning. It’s a pity, as there are such beautiful views to enjoy at this location.
Zero service. The food (steak) was mediocre. The desert was really bad. The nuts were rancid, the Crème Brûlée tasted like butane. Such a pity. The place really has potential. When you look at the reviews, you can see the owner does not really care, otherwise this place would have been cooking by now!
Wow wish I read the reviews before wasting my time on this place.TERRIBLE ! Poor service. 45 min wait just to receive a dry tasteless burger and a “minute stake” they call a 200g Rump. Obvious that there is no management present. This place can close its doors with 24 open tables on a Sunday during lunch.

Excellent food and service. Amazing views
I truly think it doesn’t worth the price! The steak was nice but regular (asked for medium, got well done) nothing special. Both grass fed or grains fed taste the same for me at this place… Expensive. But with Good wines!
