I am absolutely amazed!!!Pappa Grappa ticks ALL the boxes for us.ANELE OUR WAITER:I have not had a waiter THIS good in more than 2.5 years of us living in the Winelands Area. I would come to this restaurant just because of him!FOOD:Amazing taste, great value and perfect portions. I could not find ONE thing I would have liked differently.My kids LOVED the play area, and it is definitely kid-friendly.The atmosphere is warm, welcoming and relaxed.This might just proof to be my favourite restaurant in the Winelands area.WELL DONE GUYS!!!!!!

Went for a gin tasting experience where I made my own gin. It was so interesting how the different measurements of gin gave a different flavour. Buy the apple pie moonshine it is the best thing ever!!

Decided to celebrate my mother in law’s birthday here on the first Sunday of October with live entertainment. Enjoyed the Jazz band .. they were truly great. Service was quick, food came out fast. Slow on the drinks orders but they were busy.Enjoyed the Wilderer Gin tasting .. excellent gin and other interesting treats such as Apple Pie Moonshine … gin reasonable prices and some branded memorabilia to purchase if interested.Lovely set up and garden area. We felt a distinct German presence with the food… enjoyed the eisbein. Overall a great experience. Mother in law loved her outing too ..Just a pity the music was so loud we could not talk at all. But then it was the entertainment so perhaps go for the music .. not the conversation … very good though.

We had a charged morning, visiting two wineries, one with a client.Now it was time for lunch and l had a besutiful, hungry companion.Not really knowing Paarl, l ask Rob for suggestions. He says “Ag, dis maklik. Just down the road. It has a lovely atmosphere.”She points down the dirt farm road. “Just here. We can walk?” Smiling l say, not quite. She’s from Ecuador, so SA lingo is foreign to her.Indeed, it is cosy inside Ristorante Pappa Grappa with the flames dancing brightly.My lady is fascinated with the veal dishes, not knowing what’s the source. She settles on Veal Saltimbocca. I choose Tante Emma Schnitzel with potato cuts. When it arrives l am overawed. It is filling the whole plate! It looks juicy, tastes luscious. I end up sharing half my dish. This Tante’s veal is absolutely superb. (Saltimbocca we give a miss.) l didn’t take a photo as l was totally pre-occupied.. Next time.Before going we had a crash course on grappa (tasting Muscato which she pulled her nose up at). Lastly, l was told about a grappa, ice cream, coffee concoction – next time.

The food was amazing the service was great. The staff are friendly and attentive. I will definitely be back to try more of the dishes, I was so happy with my order (chicken parmesan). The pizzas also look amazing. Thank you for an exceptional experience.

Felt unwelcome here.We just walked in and didn’t know where to go for tastings.Two waiters walked past us and didn’t even flinch to ask us anything.Something also stank like a sewer drain.At least the gin slushy was good!
