We ordered several nibbles and mains, it was unfortunately an average dining experience. The hummus and the beetroot risotto were the only winners here. The risotto was served with goats cheese , some hazelnut paste and went down quite well.Their drumlet poppers were dry and lacked flavour, the small plate of roast lamb came with a single slice of lamb, prepared pink (medium) which was fine but was drowned in a salty gravy and that killed the dish. The hake and hand cut fries were decent and fresh. The duck pancake was quite dry. There wasn’t anything to report to the kitchen as this is just how they prepare their meals. The ingredients were fresh. The service is a bit slow from the kitchen and has a ripple effect on how soon the meals come to the table. Their cappuccinos were good and their dessert range looked interesting. This , for me, is more a coffee and cake place and not somewhere I’d return for a so-so meal.

A cute little place close to the promenade. Freshly baked array of yummy pastries. The vegetables focaccia was divinely delicious and fresh. Excellent service. Just a glitch during shift change but good food and vibe and ambiance

High ceilings and low lights -absolutely stunning. Love how low-key the decore is and the service is definitely spot on… Their menu apparently changes often so there weren’t any suggestions, so I went with a usual fave which is the slow cooked pork belly. It was cooked to perfection but the flavors unfortunately failed to impress.

Maha cafe is a hidden gem in the heart of Durban. Tucked in at the point waterfront you will be pleased to know there is a place to have food which not only tastes bloody good but is so beautifully presented you almost don’t want to eat it and spoil the presentation. I had a smoked Salmon with poached egg on freshly made crumpets (best I’ve tasted anywhere) with generous slices of creamy avocado scattered with deep fried capers. I’ve always been big on giving my views on food that is good. To be honest this cafe serves food so well put together and presented, its fit for a King. I’ve truly enjoyed my brunch with a perfectly maded Late whilst enjoying the cool tranquil Indian Ocean breeze at the Point Waterfront. Next time you dash over to Durban do yourself a favor and get to Maha Café because you cannot afford to miss this place. I love this place and it’s positive vibe and yes will most certainly be visiting again. Excellent food, and well friendly staff. Keep it up guys.

This is a nice and secret location kind of a place. The rating 4/5 is due to the waiting to get your food. I think it’s a bit longer. If they can change that.

Great place, fresh and mouthwatering food. Great attention to detail and effort in the presentation. Was also able to get some work done. Great hidden gem.

The place is beautiful, and the atmosphere out of this world but the service was disappointing. The food also wasn’t anything to write home about. A cute spot for content creators and not too heavy on the coins.
