We were there for Mother’s Day, the mothers were welcomed with a glass of bubbly and orange juice. The service was great, our waitress was friendly and attentive. The burgers were delicious. I will be back for the pizza with the thin crust and generous toppings. The manager/owner (unsure) was actively working and he assisted an elderly lady down the ramp, which was very kind, that is always great to see. We will be back.

We had such a lovely visit at Vrede en Lust Bistro. The service was outstanding and they went above and beyond with making us feel at home. From the time we arrived, management as well as the friendly staff welcomed us with that wonderful South Afican hospitality. Special mention to Maritza who took care of us. The wine and coffee were über yummy! We’ll definitely be back!

Lust Bistro & Bakery is a restaurant with a warm ambiance (due to the wood-fired oven being used for pizza and baking of bread), friendly staff and good food. Although the menu does not have a vast selection, there are something for everyone and the food is delicious. What impressed me most (and not my wife) was the charger outside the restaurant for electric vehicles – brilliant! There is also a nice play area for kids on the estate.

Beautiful bistro and bakery! We went for a brunch and was very impressed with the variety on the menu and the quality of the food.Coffee was great and they have delicious fresh pressed juices. There is more than enough free and safe parking on site and it is all wheelchair friendly. The fireplace was a nice touch whilst the surrounding mountains were white with snow.

Super impressed! Stopped in for lunch during the level 4 alcohol ban 😳The broccoli soup was delicious with home baked sourdough bread as was their homemade pasta. Food is certainly worthy! With no wine available we decided to try their home brewed ginger beer! Pic is of the hibiscus flavour. We also tried the lemon flavoured (my favourite). We loved them so much we bought some to take home! Planning to try them as gin mixers 😆

Surprisingly Lust Bistro and Bakery was open today for lunch after we searched severeal restaurants in rhe area that was xcloses due to covid19.The waiters are very friendly. All tables and chairs arw disinfected before you sit down. They even wrap your cutlery in a sealed plastic bag to prevent any contamination. We ordered thw 28cm Canjun chicken pizza to share and washes it down with redreshing local craft beer on tap. Though the pizza was delicious for is it ia not worth paying R150. Why? Few small piecea if chicken, thin filling and half an avo in rhe middle. We also saw some of the burgers they served at R150. Hmmm bit prizy according to us.Coffee is very nice and strong. The red velvet cake is a bit dry and I personally dis nor like the fresh cream feisting on top and inbetween the cake layers. My partner enjoyed his baked cheese cake. The slices tiny for the usual R45 per slice. The wine tasting area looks relaxing with a nice view of the mountains and you can take a relaxing stroll through their beautiful garden.
