This is the best food destination in Kalk bay in my opinion. Instantly as we walked in we were welcomed super enthusiastically and the vibe was awesome. I will forever judge hake by the taste of Lucky Fish’s. I don’t exaggerate when I say that the food is life changing, fresh fish really is something worth going out of your way for. Between our hosts, Mitchell and Sbusiso, we had the most amazing evening in a long time. Keep it up Lucky Fish, you’re doing something right 😉

From the time we arrived to when we left the waiters were helpful and even realized we were the before.We had a window seat and spoiled with an amazing view of False Bay.We ordered hake and chips as well as calamari and chips. Both were tasty and we felt the portion size were good. I must metion our previous visit the fish was a bigger portion. Only because I love their fish so much.We have always enjoyed it at Lucky and already looking forward to our next visit.

Fish, chips and calamari – Amazing 😍🐠🍟🐙 Prawns 🙄 not so much. Amazing view from Harbour House, amazing staff 💙💙💙 Even though the prawns were not prepared to my liking, the overall experience and food was great. Definitely worth the trip to Kalk Bay. Excellent value for money, friendly and helpful staff, great food. As a side note, their store in Muizenberg is amazing too, they were closed for renovation on this day but are excellent too from our previous visit. OB has nothing on them 😐😝🤐

Incredibly delightful experience with awesome staff and food. The view of the waves breaking on the rocks from inside this venue is world class. This is a great restaurant to bring the family. The menu is small with basic seafood fast food favourites. 2 pieces of hake and chips for R85. Absolute winner. We were 2 people who shared the hake, calamari and chips plate R145. It was a good portion for 2 adults to share. As is with their other dishes. If you prefer not to share then you will be even happier as the portions are big, filling and tasty. The hake was deep fried in a light and crispy batter. The food is comforting and not at all oily. The staff are wonderful and go above and beyond to make guests feel super welcomed. They have a small bar with wine, beer on tap and spirits to compliment your meal. Food is fresh and fast. No long waiting times. It’s the perfect place for tourists who are on a ‘time-budget’ who need to quickly eat so that they can explore more. Prawns, calamari, snoek, hake and chips and rolls and Greek salad are the basic menu. Great place. Great food.

What a gem! This restaurant has an amazing view and great fish and chips. Our service was slightly slow but we didn’t mind watching the waves crash through the window.

Calamari was fresh and tender, but it seems like the batter recipe has changed, it’s rather herd like, tastes like herbs… not everyone in my household liked it…has anyone else found this? We also bought fish and chips, just after 6pm, seemed like the fish was a bit dry, is this because it was being kept warm? Let me know in the comments section below. thanks.Parking: New parking booms are up, seems like access is restricted to boat owners or Harbour Employees…it was open at 6pm.

I love this gem in Fish Hoek. Excellent fish. Extremely generous portions. Relaxing atmosphere. Very friendly and helpful staff. I keep on taking friends there to eat.
