Really bad customer service. I always order an an ice coffee or cappuccino from Kauai and it’s always a crushed ice cappuccino. The order was wrong and the woman behind the counter told me that they changed the menu a year ago which I find weird because I was there a month ago with the same order. The more I tried to explain the more she spoke over me. She called a gentleman at the back who told me they changed the menu last month which was April 2022 which confirms what I told the woman. When I told them this is not what I ordered they were not bothered to correct it.With no solution I told them it’s fine. They can keep the order and I left it on the counter and walked away.Such a bad experience from them after paying for my order.
This is THE worst Kauai I have been to in the City. The cashiers are rude, covid worshippers who disregard people’s personal health conditions and enforce carbon dioxide suffocating masks that result in shouting just so a cashier can hear your order is exhausting and frustrating. The food quality is terrible and the wraps have missing ingredients. They throw away your food when you ask for a take away. This is a terrible store with terrible cashiers and manager. Do not eat there!
How disappointing, as regulars we know what we like, ordered a gem and a chicken wrap x 2, spent nearly R400 and what we got was a salad wrap with two tiny bits of chicken, had we not been at an event we would have returned them, the gem was like crushed ice, my favorite drink has got worse and worse. Not rushing back. 😭. There is no value for money here, it makes a mockery out of people’s hard earned money.
So I decided to try another Kauai restaurant today outside of my normal one which is Claremont. Tygervalley was today’s choice, to see how it compares to the others. So in terms of cleanliness some of the tables were dirty and did not look to have been wiped down. I watched a waiter clean a table of dishes but never returned to give the table a wipe down. So watch out for that. Ordered my standard meal which was poached eggs on rye toast with extra sausage. Noticed one big difference between Claremont’s Kauai and Tygervalley’s for the same price Tygervalley gives you only one sausage whereas Claremont gives you two. So Claremont is currently better value in the sausage department. The waiters were very friendly and the wait time for the food was not too long about 10 mins. Another important tip is the tellers don’t ask if you have the Kauai app so be sure to present it to them else you lose out on the loyalty. Finally again on the clean up as I was leaving it was noted that nobody has come to clear my dishes and I had been sitting at my table for a while with dirty dishes. Overall not a bad experience but not as good as Claremont’s Kauai.
Kauai Tygervalley used to be my stop for food, and it was delicious. Lately, their food quality has dropped. Yesterday my wife and I had our (then) favourite wraps: wasn’t tasty, the meat was more fat than meat, too much pickles, avo peels, and a human hair. She had an indigestion tonight, after this experience we’re not eating there again.
Peanut butter berry smoothing not nice but then the nice manager swapped it for a peanut butter cocoa bliss which is excellent. Tnx for listening to you customers and wanting to improve. Regards
I was at the store on the 28th at 11am. The lady at the till was well presented. The Almond porridge was amazing and well presented.Well done team Tygervalley. Keep it up.
