My family and I visited this restaurant many times in 2012 to 2013 when we stayed at Suncoast and really enjoyed the restaurant’s food, service and ambiance. Our recent visit on the 17 November 2021 was not as good. It was very disappointing, from the service to the food. I had a lamb bunny chow and it was full of bones with scraps of meat on them. Wife had the lamb curry with the same bones and little meat on them. I would think a place that you think is upmarket , would at least give you proper pieces of meat, even if it was on the bone. I will not return or recommend.

Pathetic Quality of Food. Stale food re braised. Salads not fresh.Staff were excellent but the food was terrible. Management should should consider closing this once a top restaurant down. Menu options are very minimal as well. Never going back their ever again!☹️🧐

Jeera at Suncoast. Ordered a veg dish: sugar beans and potato curry served with rice, roti and sambals paired with Nederberg Noble sweet wine. A step up from home made bean curry. Really delish, tasted good, the sweet wine faired well with the heat of the beans. Service was great, staff very friendly, adequate levels which was great when checking in as you dined. Would definately recommend it if you are visiting durban and looking for a light meal that’s still filling and wanting to dine in.

Jeera is a nice restaurant good breakfast and nice menu for dinner. They need to work on the waiter, you can sit for 15 minutes without being attended. The waiters cannot handle big crowds especially at dinner. During breakfast you have to search for waiters. If they can improve on this the place will be awesome. Their bunny chow and lamb is out of this world.

Every time we visited the food was always delicious, served hot. The place has great ambience and our family was relaxed..

Firstly I used to love this restaurant ! Not anymore ! We are regulars at your restaurant and the bunny I tasted today was horrible, not up to standards ! We waited so long ! For such horrible food. Your waiters asked us is everything good ? When I said no , they acted as if they couldn’t hear , another man asked if all is good, again I said no the bunny which was still on my plate was horrible, he also acted as if he didn’t hear ! Why do you ask questions ? Do not ask if you cannot give feedback, useless staff, not an apology to say sorry you didn’t finish your meal , or what was wrong with it. Aargh man we celebrate birthdays here, bring our staff here for Xmas. Never again , food I can forgive but useless waiters ? NAH !

The Lamb bunny served was warm and midway through the meal it was already cold. Had to wait about 20 minutes for our meal even though it was not busy. If you go don’t sit near the doorway as you will have flies (green) for company.

Q Visited restaurant yesterday. Service was slow. When food eventually arrived we were horrified to find two pieces of circular wraps(normally found between burgers) in our paneer/spinach curry. Completely put off we paid for our drinks and left.

We had two bunnies and food was good and so was the service.
