The location is stunning!! I would recommend.to come for a nice lunch that’s what we did. And for dinner I would rather recommend it as a bar. Cool vibes as it is the rooftop in the city.centre. check out the food on my pictures. We were guests in the hotel which allowed us to use the small but very charming pool area. It’s for Hotel guests only.
In terms of Deco and Ambience, Gigi has it down to a science. Definitely the spot to visit for a 1st date if you want to impress.I found the cocktails to be overpriced for the amount you received. As a meat lover, the menu was too vegetarian for my liking.
I was honestly pleasantly surprised. Whenever a place is Instagram’able, I don’t expect much else from it. The food was SUPERB and portions were substantial. The vibe is fabulous and the decor is just serene- especially considering you’re in the hub of the city.I would’ve loved to see the waiters cater for people sitting outside more. I struggled to get their attention when they were not on their walk through because they spent their time huddled up inside. However everything else was executed so well, I didn’t see it fit to put 4 stars so 5 it is.Well done! This is an absolute gem
WOW!!! What can I say, what a place!Cape Town has some gems and this is one of them, set on a boutique hot rooftop in the CBD. Finding parking was a challenge, so I’d suggest grabbing a taxi to the hustling city venue location. The venue is just amazing, with some so much creative appeal, think industrial tones of raw, exposed concrete and steelwork, woven with modern Victorian elements. Not to mention the eye watering stunning mosaic pool that softens the elements. The food was a great, though not cheap, but for the experience, still a 5/5. The wood-fire option for carnivores are the go-to I’m told, although, I followed my tastebuds on this charming afternoon lunch, opting for oysters to start, and the wood-fire baby chicken, and my wife the Tuna Niçoise salad together with two sides. Again the choice, was wide and difficult to make, but the quality was amazing, fresh and delicious. We were there on a quietish mid-week afternoon, for a celebratory lunch, and service was attentive and slick. Wine list was not wide, but offered enough for most.I would imagine the after work and early evening crowd could get super vibey in this trendy venue. Guess, I’ll have to visit, again, again and again.CiaoSB
Cool and trendy vibe – the blond who served us was very friendly and trying her best but overall the restaurant felt under generally under staffed – we had the venison which was delicious – chicken was also good but portion was small – the churros are a must! – strangely seemed to run out of ingredients for cocktails towards the end of the evening – overall mixed feelings about the place!
Very nice place, but very bad servis.👎👎We ordered drink, she brought, but when she saw I finished drink the same second she came and took the glass. 🙍♀️The same thing happened with espresso. I don’t understand this atitude.🤨🤷♀️🙄 She said her manager told her to do like this. I felt they want to kick us out and it was empty place.🤬Tea was good, espresso so and so.
My friend and I loved the vibe that the restaurant created. The food was amazing, we were adventurous and tried the new “cold soup” on the menu and we were pleasantly surprised. The side of mac ‘n cheese stole the show, though. 😍
