Oh my soul… what a beautiful restaurant. I had an amazing time, from the entrance the ladies were absolutely amazing and welcoming. Our waiter was great. The food was well prepared. The art, love that there are books there, one can grab one while waiting for company and having tea or a glass of wine. Thank you for amazing experience. Great for dinner with family, friends and lovers.

What a nice, hidden gem of a restaurant. The ambience is really nice, it was a quiet day and they were able to give you that extra attention. Service was very friendly. I had the ostrich carpaccio which was quite good, though probably lacking a bit in depth of flavour. My wife had the line fish which was kingklip, and it was fresh and cooked well. I had a filet mignon, requested to be made medium. Unfortunately I got a well done steak which I couldn’t eat and had to send back. They made minimal fuss though and brought a refired which, if anything, was now a medium rare. It was enjoyable nonetheless. Their menu is simple and classic, not too adventurous. I wouldn’t mind going back if I’m looking for a no fuss, well prepared meal.

The decor is absolutely beautiful. Ambience could be improved, its very quiet and awkward sometimes when the music is off. Food was very good but not quite fine dining at fine dining prices. I’m not sure how to describe it but it was like some of the fancy elements described on the menu were missing eg. The orange and vanilla crème brúlée didn’t seem to have any orange, and the lavender was not apparent in the shortbread (not sure it was even shortbread) etc.The one waiter in particular was very friendly and entertaining but the staff were really busy running around and so we ended up waiting very long at times. Overall a good experience, close to 4 stars but not quite there yet.

We ordered pork belly, one very skimpy portion and 2 baby potatoes cut in half was presented. We complained that it was not value for the cost of R220 per plate…. the chef was called and she then redid the plate and added more portions.

The food and service was both exquisite. What a lovely dinning room lovely soft music and the best rustic fries. And they take the entertainer app which is great
